Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 23:4-6.
Verse 6, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
Don't look now, but you are being closely followed.  Have you ever felt like this?  Have you every been worried that you were being followed?  The Psalmist reminds us that we as God's children are being followed by His goodness and mercy.  By the way, this isn't something to worry about.  When we recognize His mercy and goodness are following us every day of our life, it will give us the confidence to move forward by faith.  It could be said that we are being led by the Great Shepherd and followed by two angels.
We have everything we need to survive all the trials and victories of life.  His mercy is new every morning.  The believer is not going to Hell for all eternity, because of His mercy.  The goodness of our God provides all of our needs.  As we put Him first, He promises to supply.  Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Look over your shoulder today and see His mercy and goodness.
