Our Scripture reading today is Romans 10:12-13.
Verse 13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
The Gospel message is for everyone. We cannot deliver the Truth to the wrong person. Jesus Christ sacrificial death and glorious resurrection provided a way for all people to be saved from the penalty of sin. The Gospel has been referred to as a "Whosoever Gospel." Revelation 22:17 tells us that whosoever will is able to take and drink of the water of life.
God gave all mankind a free will. We have the ability to receive or reject the love of God. There is clearly human responsibility in the matter of salvation. I am not saying that man can save himself. God loves sinners, but sinners must choose to turn to God and His way for salvation. This is indicated for us in the words, "shall call." Jesus Christ remains the way, the truth and the life. It matters not what religions or the world claims. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord by faith, will be saved! This and this alone is the ONLY way to a relationship with God.
