Our Scripture reading passage today is Revelation 19:19-21.
Verse 19, "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army."
It really is quite amazing that after everything that has taken place, the enemies of God continue to wage war against Him. They have been overwhelmed by the insanity that sin causes. Their thoughts are only evil continually. It could be called man's constant battle since the fall in the garden. Remember, the Son of God came to earth and they murdered Him.
Our message, which is God's message, is one of victory. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are on the winning side. It might appear today like Satan is winning and we are in trouble. Verse 20 of our text reveals a future outcome, "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."
It is our responsibilty to continue to speak God's Word in love to those who are still being deceived by the enemy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for fallen mankind.
