Our Scripture reading today is Titus 3:8, "This is a faithful saying, and these things
I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men."
What a challenging verse to all who have been reconciled by the blood of Jesus Christ!
All of God's children are responsible to maintain good works for His glory. This should
be constantly a part of our thinking. These good works are also for the benefit of those
around us. While we are not serving for our redemption, we are serving BECAUSE we
are redeemed. I just heard a quote this morning that unfortunately tells the tale for many
believers. "It is possible to have a saved soul but a wasted life."
Are you saved? Do you know that Heaven is your eternal home?
Are you maintaining good works? Are you labouring for the Lord?
Ephesians 5:16, "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
