Our Scripture reading today is 2 Kings 18:32, "Until I come and take you away to a land like your
own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey,
that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD
will deliver us."
Rabshakeh was trying to discourage the people from believing that God was able to
deliver them. God was able and God is able to do anything He desires to do. We can
trust our life in His hands. He did not save us so we could live our lives as we please.
The LORD delivered us to be His ambassador. The LORD delivered us to be a soldier
in His army. Why are so many Christians sitting on the sidelines doing nothing to bring
God glory with their lives? Why are so many Christians making decisions based on
what they want or think is right? As a child of God, we have been delivered from the
penalty of sin. We are not our own. Love God now! Live for God now!
Serve God now!
