Our Scripture reading today is Romans 10:11, "For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him
shall not be ashamed."
The true believer will not be ashamed of the name of Jesus Christ. This will lead the
believer to not only claim His name, but also faithfully serve Him. Could it be said that
those who are not serving the Lord are ashamed of Him? Paul's admonition is not from
Paul. It is from the scripture. Belief always determines behaviour. It is usually quite
clear to see how a person believes by how they are living their lives. Does your life prove
that you are a sincere believer?
Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to
every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
