Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 32:1, "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered."
As a child of God, we have every reason to be happy. I am not sure I can think of a
better reason than knowing my sins are forgiven. Those who are covered in the
precious blood of Jesus Christ will never be judged for their sin. They are all gone!
This does not mean we will have it easy every day, but it does mean that we should
be encouraged even in the difficult times. “The word blessed is in the plural, oh, the blessednesses! The
double joys, the bundles of happiness, the mountains of delight!” (Spurgeon)
God loved us so much that He made the way for our sins to be covered. The precious
blood of Jesus Christ is still cleansing sinners! Hallelujah
