Our Scripture reading today is Genesis 3:14-15.
Verse 15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heal."
The very first promise of the Saviour is found here in the third chapter of Genesis.  God is having a conversation with the serpent in response to the serpent's role in Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit.  There is an additional promise in these verses in relation to Satan being a defeated foe.  In the book of beginnings, we are told that Jesus Christ will conquer Satan...and He DID!
As mortal men, we are not match for the power of Satan.  However, we can live in victory today through the victory provided at the cross.  1 Corinthians 15:57, "But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."  Romans 8:27, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."  It would be foolish to try and win against our enemy when Jesus Christ has already provided the victory for us.  Claim His victorious power today and live on the winning side.
