Our Scripture reading today is Genesis 39:5-6.
Verse 5 - "...the LORD blessed the Egyptians house for Joseph's sake;"
We recently taught through the life of Joseph on Wednesday nights. These verses were an excellent reminder for us live our lives consistently trusting in the ways of the LORD. Joseph's life was filled with many twists and turns. It would appear from Scripture that Joseph didn't "deserve" the treatment he received from his brothers. God was faithful to continue to lead Joseph through the many challenges he faced, and Joseph did not allow his circumstances to control his behaviour. Joseph's choices ended up bringing favour on those he was around. He found his way to a leadership position each and every time.
