Our Scripture reading today is Hosea 6:1, "Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn,
and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up."
As in the days of Hosea, God is going to correct us when we astray. He is also going to
forgive us if we come back to Him. God does all things well and this includes when we
need to be chastened for our behaviour. I am thankful our heavenly Father loves when
He corrects. "This is a prayer that trusts the love of God, and sees His loving hand even in correction.
Often, a rebellious child will complain that their parents do not love them. Of course, the parents do love t
he child, but in their rebellion and lack of submission, they can’t receive or respond to that love.
Hosea prays with a different heart."
If you need to return to the LORD, there is no better time than the present. Humbly come back in repentance
to Him. He still gives grace to the humble.
