Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 60:5, "That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right
hand, and hear me."
There is strength and comfort when we read about the hands of God. He is almighty as
well as our Great Shepherd. No one has more power and love than our heavenly Father.
The word, beloved, “Belongs to the language of love poetry; it appeals to the strongest of bonds, the
most ardent of relationships.” (Kinder)
God is the greatest picture of grace and strength. He is always ready to rescue us in times
of need as well as comforting our hearts when we grieve. The hands of God are on duty
morning, noon, and night.
