Our Scripture reading today is Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."
God made salvation possible for all sinners. His love allowed His Son, Jesus Christ to
leave Heaven's glory and shed His holy blood on an old rugged cross. The Gospel
message is simple but it cost Christ everything. He willingly became a sacrifice for all
sinners. There is still something that mankind must do. Paul says that anyone who calls
upon the Lord will be saved. This calling is from the heart and it says that we cannot
save ourselves. We call on Him by faith and God provides salvation.
