Our Scripture reading today is Philippians 1:3-7.
Verse 6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
A Christian will grow in grace depending who they allow to perform in their life. Confidence placed in ourselves is misplaced confidence. The Apostle Paul's challenge to the church at Philippi is an excellent reminder as we get into the work week. I am to rely on His performance to have daily victory. In relying on the Lord to continue His work in me, it is imperative that I die to self. My flesh is still strong and desires to be in control.
God does not need any help saving us, securing us, or sanctifying us. He is seeking humble, surrendered people to open up their hearts and He will do the rest. His transforming and life changing power is still available today. Surrender to His perfect will today and place your confidence in His performance!
