Our Scripture reading today is Acts 19:17-18, 20.

Verse 17, "And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified."

One of our privileges as disciples is to magnify the name of Jesus Christ.  The word,
magnify, means "to cause to be held in greater esteem or respect".  There was a deeper
sense of reverential fear that came over the people of Ephesus.  It changed their lives
in such a way that they gave Christ more glory.

We were not saved to stay the same.  We were saved for the glory of God.  A saved life is
a changed life and it will be very evident.  One of those ways it will be evident is that
the believer will magnify the name of Jesus.

Psalm 34:3, "O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together."
