Our Scripture reading today is Revelation 1:5, "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"
What can wash away the sins of fallen mankind? John the revelator gives us the
answer at the end of this verse of scripture. The blood of Jesus Christ is the cleansing
agent that God uses to make a sinner like me, clean. Hebrews 9:22, "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Sinners
must come to God through the shed blood of His Son. There is no
other way to be made clean. Sin made us dirty. Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned..."
Jesus Christ desires to make us pure and give us a relationship with the Father. Hallelujah!!
