Good Morning,

Our Scripture reading today is Luke 15:5-7.

Verse 7, "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance."

As we learned yesterday, the emphasis of this parable is not so much in the quantity, but in the joy of finding the lost.  Every time a lost, hell-bound sinner turns to Jesus Christ for salvation there should be as much rejoicing here as there is in Heaven.  Verse 6 describes the level of joy to be so much that it took at least two people to get involved - "rejoice with me."

The scribes and Pharisees showed their true colours when they displayed much displeasure when those they felt unworthy were welcomed by the Lord Jesus.  I am thankful there is no one beyond the saving grace of God.  Even the hardest heart can be reached with the love of God.  Whether rich or poor, we should be rejoicing when they are found!  Whether educated or uneducated, we should be rejoicing when they are found!

Rejoice with me!

Your friend,
Pastor
