Our Scripture reading today is 2 Timothy 2 :24-26.

Verse 26, "And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

The definition of a snare is anything serving to entrap or entangle unawares; trap.  The devil has all kinds of snares for each of God's children.  They come in all shapes and sizes but are specifically designed.  There are certain ones that will not work on you, but they will work on me and vice versa.  The devil is a master at entrapment.  He most definitely has a will for your life and mine.  While the snares are all different, his will is the same...destruction.

In order to avoid his snares, we must seek to walk in God's wisdom.  God's Word tells us to walk circumspectly.  Ephesians 5:15, "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,"  The word, "circumspectly", means accurately, exactly, and diligently.  From day one of our salvation, this is how we must walk.  God's Word and God's Spirit will help us to see the snares in our path of life that are hidden.  Sometimes these snares are even hidden by good intentions.  We must have the spiritual vision of God's Spirit.
