Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 6:18, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication
in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

The spiritual exercise that most Christians participate the least in is prayer.  Prayer is one
of the most important parts of the daily walk of the child of God.  Prayer is our communi-
cation with God.  It is my personal opinion that Satan does everything he possible can to
keep people from a faithful prayer life.  He knows the power of prayer better than most
Christians.  Satan knows the effectiveness of a praying Christian.  What does your prayer
life look like?

Prayer should go beyond our morning breakfast.  It ought to be a part of our entire day.
Just like we take step after step during our day, we should be praying prayer after
prayer.  "Often we just don’t pray because we are simply overconfident in our own abilities. Winston Churchill
said to Britain in the early days of the Second World War: 'I must drop one word of caution, for next to cowardice
and treachery, overconfidence leading to neglect and slothfulness, is the worst of wartime crimes'.”  This is proven
every time we have a prayer meeting at church.  It is the least attended meeting on the church schedule.
