Our Scripture reading today is Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
The love of God was on full display at Calvary. He allowed His only begotten Son to
ne sacrificed for the sin's of all mankind. This included even those men who nailed
Him to the cross. Love may be freely received, but it is not freely given. Love cost
God something. God's love overcame the wickedness of men. God's love overcame
the hate of Satan and his demons. We have the great privilege of sharing God's love with
a lost and dying world.
