Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 9:28, "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and
unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

We have a sinless, Saviour Who willing paid the eternal sacrifice necessary for our
sins. He will never go through that suffering again. The next time He comes. He will
rule and reign for all eternity. His children should be eagerly awaiting His return.
“It ought to be a daily disappointment when our Lord does not come; instead of being, as I fear it is, a
kind of foregone conclusion that he will not come just yet.” (Spurgeon)

But the next time He comes, He won't have to die for me,
The next time He comes, there won't be a Calvary;
The next time He comes will begin eternity,
And when He comes again, He'll be coming for me. (Harold Lane)
