Our Scripture reading today is Luke 7:21-23.
Verse 22, "Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached."
The men who John had sent to find out more about Jesus Christ were now being sent back to John to report what they had seen and heard.  They were eye witnesses to the miracle working power of God as well as the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy.
Our responsibility is much the same today.  We are to tell people what we have seen have heard.  According to Acts 1:8, we are to be witnesses.  "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem (Burnaby), and in all Judaea (BC), and in Samaria (Canada), and unto the uttermost part of the earth." There is no better time than the present to start being a witness or to continue being a witness.  Make sure you have Gospel tracts available to hand out as the Spirit of God prompts you.  Be ready as well to give a portion of your salvation testimony when the opportunity arrises.  Memorize a verse or two from the Bible that speak of salvation, eternal life and Jesus Christ.  Ask God daily to fill you with His Spirit as you head out for your day.  There will be opportunities to witness what you have seen and heard!
